LINC 24 - In this short interview, Dr Kush Desai (Feinberg School of Medicine, US) discusses the findings from the VIVID trial (NCT04580160, Vesper Medical).

The VIVID trial is a prospective, multi-center trial which aimed to investigate the safety and efficacy of the Vesper DUO Venous Stent System for the iliofemoral vein as compared to a pre-defined performance goal. 162 patients with both non-thrombotic and thrombotic disease were enrolled into the trial. Findings showed that the device was safe and effective, and was able to maintain patency in the vast majority of patients with non-thrombotic disease, and an expected number of patients with thrombotic disease.

Interview Questions:

  1. What is the reasoning behind this research?
  2. What was the patient population and study design?
  3. What are the key findings?
  4. What are the implications of these findings on clinical practice?
  5. What further study is needed?

Recorded remotely from Chicago, 2024.
