Overview
Filmed at VIO 2022, this fascinating, interactive and educational breakout session is now available to view on demand.
Moderator Maria Antonella Ruffino (Regional Hospital of Lugano, CH) leads international panellists, Dr Lorenzo Patrone (London North West Healthcare NHS Trust, UK), Dr Stefano Fazzini (University of Rome, IT) and Dr Narayanan Thulasidasan (Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust, UK), who discuss the Expanding Treatment Boundaries in Calcified PAD and how Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) can impact your day-to-day clinical practice.
We begin this session with a presentation from Dr Lorenzo Patrone, where he discusses how data impacts daily practice in Tackling Multi Level Calcified PAD. Following this, Dr Narayanan Thulasidasan presents on IVL in No Stent Zones, with focus on the limited assessment of tibial arteries due to heavy wall calcification of the patient.
Lastly, Dr Stefano Fazzini presents from a vascular surgeon's perspective on Rethinking our Approach to Large Vessel Calcium.
Upon participation in this programme, physicians will be able to:
- Understand there is data to support the application of peripheral IVL
- Understand how IVL’s unique mechanism of action changes vessel compliance.
- Learn how IVL technology enables physicians to preserve patients treatment options.
