Biography

Miltiadis Krokidis is a Vascular and Interventional Radiologist at Aretaieion Hospital and Assistant Professor at the Medical School of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. He is also working in Switzerland and lectures as Visiting Professor at the Medical School of the University of Bern. He has recently received an Honorary Professor Chair at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, UK. 

He worked for several years as Consultant at Cambridge University Hospitals and served as Senior Clinical Tutor at the Clinical School, Cambridge University, UK.

He is a board certified practitioner of Vascular and Interventional Radiology in Europe (EBIR). He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR), a Fellow of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (FCIRSE), a Fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology (FSIR) and of the European Society of Abdominal and Gastrointestinal Radiology (FESGAR). He has served in various leadership positions in major international Radiological societies (CIRSE, ESGAR, ESOI) and as President of the Hellenic Medical Society UK for the period 2018-20. He is currently the Vice Chair of the IASIOS accreditation organization. 

He is Assistant Editor of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology journal and of the Hellenic Journal of Radiology and Editor of the book “Challenging Concepts in Interventional Radiology” published from Oxford University press. So far, he has authored and co-authored >100 papers in international peer-reviewed journals including international guidelines and has delivered a significant number of invited lectures in national and international meetings.

Dr Miltiadis E Krokidis is on the editorial board for Vascular and Endovascular Review Journal.
