Dr Athanasios Saratzis is an Associate Professor of Vascular Surgery at the Leicester University and NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre in Leicester, UK. His clinical interests include complex peripheral vascularization, and acute and chronic kidney injury in cardiovascular surgery.
Prior to his current appointment, Dr Saratzis completed his surgical training at the West Midlands Deanery in Birmingham, the East Midlands Deanery in Leicester, and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in London. He is president of the Vascular and Endovascular Research Network (VERN).
